Abstract

The shift to the digital age influenced—among other fields—the field of humanities, through the creation of applications of multimodal and multisemiotic communication. Accordingly, our team members collaborated in order to create a multimodal application, which will combine purely textual as well as non-verbal elements, such as image and kinesthetic movements. The practical part of this seminar focuses on the proposal to create the multimodal, cultural application “Sign-Through”. Targeting users who are on campus, the application will aim to highlight the living memories at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), which constitutes a symbol and important part of cultural memory of the University.
