The Lab aims to combine methodologies and good practices from various fields in the context of common projects that will support data management along with the production, study, preservation and circulation of any kind of tokens, thus supporting and promoting research across all fields.

In order to fulfil this aim, the DHLab aims to develop and distribute technical skills and to integrate them in the individual projects, to access special software and to spread technical knowledge and experience through workshops, speeches, information days, conferences and common projects. Students’ participation is highlighted in order to create a group of young scientists who shall participate in this emerging field with excellence and effectiveness; this group shall focus on methodological reflection, on evaluating materials and products in the field as well as on forming study programs.

The DHLab focuses indicatively on:

1. Innovations and useful approaches of the new digital reality across all its dimensions with emphasis put on practices that concern literacy, reading, analysis,  and polysemy  
2. Innovative research, publication and publishing facilities
3. Creating, processing and analyzing digital content automatically and semi-automatically
4. Processing mass data and visualization tools
5. Practices to preserve and show tokens
6. Educational practices
7. Providing services and creating products in the research fields of the DHLab
